Nice notes on the Sandia trip. Better get used to 35 feet wide - that is what Dry Creek has; also not level, recommending 07 whenever possible- it is up hill.  We also have tree line on both sides 40 feet from centerline.  The optical illusion reminds me of Star Wars and flying the "slot", a narrow crevasse.
